The new Mod Jacks are designed for either PoE designs providing 350mA or PoE+ applications with maximum current of 600mA per pair. PoE+ allows power of up to 30W (at PSE) and hence makes it possible for high power network devices, such as wireless access points, video/IP telephones, network cameras, door interlocking systems or point-of-sale terminals. The new Mod Jacks are ideally suited for a broad variety of commercial and industrial applications and support the ongoing convergence of voice, video, data networking and high-speed computing.
With this introduction ERNI Electronics expands its large portfolio of standard Mod Jacks with integrated magnetic in single port, multi-port, right angled, vertical and low-profile variants. The tab-up configuration with 1.3inch body length makes the new components ideal as drop-in replacement. The new devices are compatible with common PHYs of leading manufacturers. An innovative 12-core design with capacitors and resistors meets all Gigabit Ethernet requirements in switches or hub products, and the product has been configured to deliver voltage isolation and performance complying with FCC and IEEE 802.3 standards. The new Modular Jacks are available with integrated LEDs for status display. RoHS compatible and specified for industrial use the new Mod Jacks are featuring an extended operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. They can be processed using lead-free wave soldering methods at temperatures of up to 270 °C. ERNI Electronics has focused on providing improved contact design for its Modular Jack family, ensuring a reliable connection between the components in the network. Links: www.erni.com |
